I'm an enthusiastic amateur photographer mainly using digital equipment, but lately with a renewed interest in using film. My main interests are in photographing architecture and in documenting scenes from everyday life. I like to look for patterns, unusual shapes and symmetry, working almost exclusively in black and white now.
For me, nothing compares to seeing a printed image, and I print my own photographs so that I can retain full control over the process. To quote the great Ansel Adams -
“The negative is the equivalent of the composer’s score and the print the performance.”
