I began taking photography seriously when I retired. I replaced my SLR with a digital camera and became a member of Nottingham and Notts Photographic Society. Wildlife and architecture are my favourite subjects to photograph and I like presenting some of my images as montages.
After joining Bromley House Library I became interested in the history of photography and I am currently a member of the RPS Historical Group Committee. After visiting exhibitions of old photographs I developed an interest in monochrome photography. Although I have participated in collodion, cyanotype, film and pinhole photography workshops, I prefer to use a digital camera and computer software to produce prints with an inkjet printer.
