An amateur photographer since my teenage years, I had my own darkroom and printed from 35mm, 6 x 6 and 6 x 9cm negatives. Now exclusively working with digital, I continue to enjoy monochrome for its special qualities for revealing line, shape, form, texture, light and shade and tonal gradations. With an interest in the outdoors and the natural world, particularly botany, I enjoy landscape and studies of plant form, but also like to photograph architecture, interiors and other subjects I feel are well expressed in the medium.
